Rene Guerette, LCSW graduated from the Smith College School of Social Work in 2004. She has been a practicing psychotherapist since then, having gained extensive experience and training in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, divorce, parenting issues, adoption, LGBT issues, postpartum related challenges and more. In addition to providing psychotherapy in her private practice in Lakewood, Rene is an adjunct faculty member at Denver University’s School of Social Work, providing field instruction to Master’s of Social Work Students. Rene teaches our values based relapse prevention group as well as our next steps group.
Rene grew up on the East Coast, but an internship at the University of Colorado at Boulder brought her to Colorado. The healthy and active, outdoor lifestyle convinced her to stay. She has lived in Colorado for 17 years.
